Delete your FANCERT account

FANCERT (by EKPK) lets you delete your account and the data stored with it at any time, on iPhone and on Android. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Delete it in the app

iPhone: Profile › Edit profile › Account › Delete account…, or Settings › Account › Delete account…
Android: Settings › Account › Delete account (shown when you are signed in).

You'll see what will be removed and be asked to confirm. When you confirm, our server deletes the account right away and the app signs you out.

Delete it without the app

Email [email protected] from any address with the subject "Delete my FANCERT account" and tell us your @handle. We'll confirm it's you (we may ask you to follow a test account or change your bio to a code we send), delete the account, and reply when it's done, within 30 days and usually within a few.

What is deleted

• Your account record: user ID, the anonymous sign-in identifier from Apple or Google, @handle, display name, bio, emoji, social handles, birth year, profile colour, privacy settings, badges and fan points.
• Your profile picture, memories-grid images and custom cover photos.
• Every countdown you shared with friends or publicly, and your top-artists list.
• Your followers, who you follow, follow requests, blocks, your notification inbox, and notifications about you in other people's inboxes.
• Your group-countdown memberships and every photo you added to a shared group album.
• Your sign-in sessions and push-notification tokens, invite/referral links to your account, and reports you filed.

Your @handle is retired for 90 days so nobody can take over a recently deleted identity; after that it becomes available again.

What is kept

• On your phone: countdowns, photos and videos stored in the app stay on your device until you delete the app. We never had a copy of those.
• Purchase record: if you linked a Lifetime purchase, we keep the store's transaction identifier (no name, no payment details) for as long as that purchase is valid, so it cannot be claimed twice. Your purchase itself is held by Apple or Google and can be restored from the store.
• Safety reports about the account filed by other people are kept for as long as needed to handle the report and protect other users, without your profile attached.
• Backups: deleted data can persist in our database provider's encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

Delete some data without deleting the account

You can remove individual things in the app at any time: set a countdown to "Only me" to remove it from our server, remove tiles from your memories grid, remove your profile picture or cover photos, remove your photos from a group album or leave the group, and turn off "Show artists I listen to".
